No, my counseling services differ from traditional therapy. While I am not a clinically licensed therapist, I am an ordained reverend and hold a PhD in Spiritual Psychology. My focus is on providing spiritual guidance, emotional support, and insight to help you navigate life’s challenges. These sessions are designed to foster personal and spiritual growth rather than offer clinical mental health treatment.

My spiritual counseling sessions are designed to help you explore deeper life questions, heal emotional or energetic blockages, and find clarity on your spiritual path. I blend my spiritual gifts with my academic training to offer grounded, compassionate guidance. These sessions are supportive, non-clinical spaces for those seeking to grow and evolve spiritually and emotionally.

While shadow work can be incredibly transformative, it’s important to approach it with care, especially if you haven’t had extensive therapy or worked through significant emotional trauma before. Shadow work involves exploring the hidden or suppressed aspects of yourself, which can bring unresolved pain, fear, or difficult emotions to the surface. For some, this process can be overwhelming, particularly if they haven’t developed coping tools or emotional resilience through prior therapeutic work.

If you haven’t done extensive therapy or aren’t familiar with your own emotional landscape, I recommend proceeding cautiously. Shadow work can stir up deep-seated emotions, and without a solid foundation of self-awareness and coping skills, this can lead to emotional distress. If you’re unsure whether shadow work is right for you, I suggest seeking guidance from a licensed therapist or spiritual counselor before diving deeply into the process.

Before engaging in shadow work, it’s important to have strong emotional support systems in place, whether that’s through therapy, trusted mentors, or spiritual counselors. You should also have tools for self-care and emotional regulation to help you process any challenging material that arises. Remember, shadow work is not a race—it’s a journey that requires patience, readiness, and self-compassion.
